Description

Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages are set in the glorious surroundings of the Peak District in Derbyshire and are not only a wonderful place to stay in their own right but are set a stone’s throw from a whole range of fabulous places to visit. The Holiday Cottages are elegant conversions from old farm buildings and offer a range of different accommodation, depending on how many are in your party – we have something to suit groups of two right up to ten by using top quality sofa beds. If you want a romantic getaway for two we can offer Elm Holiday Cottage, with a fabulous four poster double bed. We don’t think pets should be excluded either – well-behaved ones are more than welcome at Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages.

Holiday in Comfort
Self catering in Derbyshire does not mean roughing it if you come to Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages. Our holiday cottages differ in size but they are all fitted out to the very highest standard with modern kitchens. The larger properties have extra bathrooms so there won’t be any queuing when everyone is keen to get out into the wonderful countryside. The holiday cottages are:-

Ash Holiday Cottage – this lovely Derbyshire holiday cottage has 3 bedrooms, one of which features a four poster. A sofa bed in the sitting room means that Ash Holiday Cottage can sleep eight people. For cosy winter breaks, there is an open coal fire. Like all these Ashbourne holiday cottages, there is freesat television although with so much to do locally, this might get used too much!

Beech Holiday Cottage – this is our largest cottage, sleeping up to ten with the addition of luxury sofa beds, one in the lounge and one in a bedroom. This two storey house has all of the amenities our guests expect of an Ashbourne self catering property and it overlooks the barbecue area and children’s play space. Ideal for a family holiday in fact, and roomy enough for everyone to bring a friend.

Cherry Holiday Cottage – a holiday cottage which is ideal for two, but with room for a cot makes an ideal venue for that first holiday with baby. Equipped to the expected high standard of any Ashbourne accommodation, Cherry Holiday Cottage is compactly designed on one floor with an en-suite shower room.

Elm Holiday Cottage – is also over one floor and has a romantic four poster bed. There is a luxury sofa bed in the lounge, which although open plan for day can be screened off at night. Elm is one of the most popular of our Derbyshire Holiday Cottages for couples who like walking – coming back to its cosy comfort after a day in the Peaks is like coming home.

Hazel Holiday Cottage – is deceptively spacious. With one double (with ensuite) and one twin bedroom, it can be extended to take six people by using the sofa bed in the lounge. There is a family bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen that makes a holiday easy to manage – with a dishwasher there is no arguing over who does the washing up.

Oak Holiday Cottage – everyone’s favourite, Oak Holiday Cottage is just packed with features. Guests can’t decide whether to rave about our church-style windows, our double gallery bedroom or the fabulous open-plan lounge.

Local attractions, towns and villages
If you can tear yourself away from the lovely setting of Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages and go out and about from your holiday cottages, the Peak District awaits you. Along with spectacular walks, there are lovely little villages to explore as well as the spa towns of Matlock and Buxton and the pretty little town of Ashbourne, known with good reason as the Gateway to the Peak District and marks the start of the Tissington Trail. If you enjoy stately homes you will be in heaven, with Haddon Hall and the stately Chatsworth House nearby. Film fans will recognize Chatsworth as Pemberley in the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice but even without that moment of fame, it is a spectacular house that takes several days to explore completely. For the more adventurous, it would be a shame to be staying in a Derbyshire holiday cottages and not visit Alton Towers for some of the best white-knuckle rides in the world.
