Yeldersley Old Hall Farm Self Catering Holidays in Derbyshire

Janet Hinds and family welcome you to our dairy farm within rural and peaceful countryside surroundings, some three miles from the pretty, historic Market town of Ashbourne. We offer you self catering holidays in Derbyshire on our working farm. We have a pedigree herd of Holsein/Friesian cattle and our family has farmed at Yeldersley Old Hall since 1954. The Old Hall itself is reputed to have been the home to one of Charles II mistresses!

Our historic Grade II listed barn has been converted into three very comfortable and well equipped self catering  holiday cottages in central Derbyshire. Each cottage is inspected by Visit Britain- Briar and Bluebell are graded 3 star and Primrose is graded 4 star.

Two cottages can accommodate 5 people each maximum, our third can accommodate 6 maximum.

Each of our pretty Derbyshire self catering holiday cottages have 3 bedrooms and Primrose cottage has two bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor.

There is ample safe car parking and plenty of garden space for recreation and leisure, picnics and Barbecues.

Each cottage has 3 bedrooms with bathroom containing bath and shower, toilet and washbasin. On the ground floors each has a dining room, lounge with TV, fitted kitchen with fridge freezer, electric cooker and microwave, cloakroom with toilet and washbasin.

Primrose cottage has two bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. Laundry facilities are available at the farmhouse opposite.

There is ample safe car parking and the cottages are available throughout the year. Winter short breaks are also available as well as short term accommodation for the business visitor.

A large grass area in front of the cottages is available for picnics and barbecues. It is a lovely safe environment for families, with little traffic and complete peace and tranquility.

This is ideal touring and walking countryside with much to interest families young and old. Ashbourne is just 3 miles away. The cottages are an ideal spot for touring Derbyshire, Dovedale and Carsington Water, Alton Towers, Matlock, Chatsworth, Bakewell, Buxton and many stately homes are all nearby. Information about the area is available in the cottages and we can provide advice on places to visit and where to eat and drink.
