Hillside Croft Luxury Self Catering Cottage in Derbyshire

HILLSIDE CROFT   Sleeps 14 plus 2 + 2 cots within 5 bedrooms

Hillside Croft is an exceptional detached historic sandstone self catering cottage in central Derbyshire, this lovely country cottage nestles in 6 acres of private beautifully landscaped gardens and pastureland. Located in the Derbyshire Dales at the edge of the Peak District National Park it is central to all this magnificent county has to offer.

If you are lovers of character self catering cottages in wonderful settings then this is the cottage for you. Ancient oak beams in every room, wood burning stoves, internal stone and timbered walls and pretty leaded windows set in stone mullions give charm to this lovely cottage which dates back to 1709.  The rooms are tastefully furnished with antique pine furniture and coordinated fixtures and fittings, giving a feeling of warmth, cosiness and luxury.

There are 5 bedrooms, 4 of which are double and 1 twin. There are 4 extra single beds within three of the double rooms, 2 cots and 2 comfortable bed chairs giving a total sleeping capacity of 16 plus 2 cots. The master bedroom is en suite with shower cubicle,sink and WC, in the main bathroom is a Victorian style roll topped bath and walk in shower room pluc WC, sink and bidet. On the ground floor is a 3rd WC with sink.

The lounge  and dining rooms are separate, giving space for those special dining evenings with friends or family, both have cosy log stoves. Adjoining the dining room is a wonderful farmhouse kitchen, fitted with handmade pine units and tiled and marble worktops, exceptionally well equipped for the want to be chef.  A washer, tumble drier, diswasher, electic cooker, large fridge and freezer, microwave and slow cooker are provided.

The lounge has a flat screen Tv with freeview, DVD player and video recorder.A sterio system is also provided. The cottage has wi fi throughout and password is provided on request.

This luxurious, cosy self catering cottage has the benefit of full central heating, linen,towels, heating and electricity are included.

Outside you can enjoy the loveley gardens, with solid fuel BBQ, chimera and hard woood patio set.

Pampering and meals can be provided by arrangement.

We are in a perfect spot to enjoy the many walks and cycle trails in the area.

Closeby are many activities such as pony trekking, paint balling, quad bikes, clay pigeon shooting, cycle hire, canoeing, caving, hot air balloons and many more. Closeby is Carsington Water sports centre and we a just a few miles from Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, Sudbury Hall, Kedleston Hall, Heights of Abraham, Crich Tramway museum, the Butterly Railway museum and the Derwent Heritage Trail - something for everyone to enjoy.

Billys Bothy                                     Sleeps 12 + 4 + 2 cots within 6 bedrooms

Billys Bothy is a rich red brick detached barn conversion. This beautiful self catering cottage has been lovingly restored to provide a holiday retreat of comfort, warmth and luxury. Nestled amongst pastureland, just outside of the pretty market town of Ashbourne Billys Bothy is a short drive from Alton Towers ,Chatsworth House and all the many attractions in the area.

This fabulous  self catering cottage has 5 bedrooms plus an optional 6th bedroom all of which are en suite with under floor heating and heated towel rails.  Four are double and two are twin, the lounge has a quality double bed settee and there are 2 extra bed chairs and 2 cots.  All have character brass and cast iron beds, with hand made furniture in antique pine. 

The magnificent oak stairs lead up into a galleried kitchen, with handmade pine units and granite worktops. This kitchen is extremely well equipped, a delight to prepare your meals in. The dining room sits 12 with ease and 16 is possible- chairs are provided for 16. The spacious lounge has a feature wooden truss and a cosy wood burning stove. A magnificent oak framed window leads from the lounge onto the patio area and to a private lawned orchard surrounded by fields grazed by sheep and cattle. Nature at your doorstep. 

This  lovely self catering cottage has oak floors throughout scattered with Turkish and Indian rugs. Oak framed doors and revealed brick walls all add to the ambience of this beautiful self catering holiday cottage.

A relaxation room with cinema screen( only to be used by arrangement) and sauna are now available for hire.  Pampering with massaging or nail treatments can be arranged. Meals for special occasions can be provided to order.

The relaxation room can also be hired to provide 2 exra single beds to Billys Bothy giving a sleeping capacity of 16. This room is also en suite. This room is also available for Bed and Breakfast.

Full central heating, linen towels and electricity are included.

A hearing system for the hearing impaired is available on request.
