Carsington Cottages Derbyshire | Welcome to Carsington Cottages in Derbyshire. These south facing ground floor cottages have been renovated from redundant stone farm buildings in the grounds of the owners Grade II listed house, the cottages being similarly listed and retaining a wealth of character, dating back to some 300 years. A fabulous view across to Carsington Water can be seen from the hillside behind the farm. Exposed trusses, beams and exposed stonework around doors and windows help give the accommodation plenty of charm and character, lounge floors are flagged and tiled with occasional rugs. These lovely Derbyshire Cottages offer an inviting and welcoming warm environment, with furniture and fabrics being used in a splendid and co-ordinated fashion to create your holiday home from home. A spacious and enclosed croft is an ideal play and picnic area for guests
Both Phoebe and Daisy cottages can be booked together and it is possible for up to 12 people to dine together in one of the cottages (Phoebe Cottage)

All on one level this Derbyshire cottage is reached from one external step, the character being immediately apparent as you enter into the spacious and welcoming open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, with exposed trusses, flagged and tiled floors with occasional rugs throughout. The pine furniture and the small touches add considerably to the atmosphere. Central double doors to the rear lead to the elevated cottage gardens. The lounge has a double sofa bed suitable for occasional use. The second bedroom with cast iron bedhead is off a further hall at the end of the cottage, and the main bathroom is also off the hall. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and vanitory basin. Phoebe Cottage has it's own delightful Cottage Gardens to the rear with garden furniture and barbeque.

With the exception of a few steps (to the second bedroom) this cottage is all on one level and has the same amount of charm and character as Phoebe Cottage. Enter the cottage from the front garden with garden furniture, into the delightful beamed and open plan kitchen dining and lounge area with its welcoming gas coal effect stove. Daisy Cottage similarly has flagged and tiled floors with occasional rugs. A door by the kitchen leads onto a further terrace and cottage garden with more garden furniture. Inside the small hall leads through to the fully carpeted bedrooms, the main bedroom with a double character cast iron bedhead, the second twin bedded room has its own private shower cubicle. The main bathroom between the bedrooms consists of a bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet. Gardens available to guests at all times.
