Callow Top is a popular family holiday park situated just north of the market town of Ashbourne. We accept caravans, motorhomes and tents. We have electric hook-up facilities but only on hard standing pitches. We are not able to accommodate tents needing electric hook-up. Booking in advance is essential.

We are an ETC 4 Star park with facilities including 3 toilet blocks (2 with showers.) Please note only 1 or 2 blocks may be open depending on the time of season. Disabled toilet/shower, pot washing and laundry rooms, shop, Sky TV, Calor gas sales, pub/ restaurant and freezer pack facilities.We have excellent facilities for camping and caravans in Derbyshire.

Our Cafe Bar serves both hot and cold food between 8.30am and 9.30pm (during peak season only) Why not start the day with a full English breakfast, pop in for a light bite at lunchtime or grab a takeaway pizza when you return from a days sightseeing?

Nestling within a delightful elevated country setting overlooking the Dove Valley, Dovedale and the Manifold Valley are within walking distance from Callow Top. There is direct access to the famous Tissington Trail cycle path from the site where you can cycle or walk for over 20 miles. Our camping and caravan location in Derbyshire is the ideal base for exploring the beauty of the Peak District National Park.

The park itself, although in an elevated position is very flat with closely mown grass and sheltered by a perimeter of high hedgerows which house a variety of bird life.

The focal point of the park is the old farmhouse which has been converted into an Olde English Inn serving good pub food and real ale from our very own on-site brewery. We have several first class brews including the award winning Dr Samuel Johnson.

During Peak season we're just the place for that annual family holiday. There's plenty to keep the kids occupied including regular live entertainment, play area, amusement arcade, pool and table tennis and our outdoor heated swimming and paddling pools. We also have on-site cycle hire and a course fishing lake.

If you prefer a quieter break, to get away from it all, why not visit us for a mid week stay during low season?

Callow Top camping and caravan site lies only 1 mile from Ashbourne, famous for its Shrovetide Football. Ashbourne is a market town with a wealth of tea shops and a wide variety of clothes and antique shops. There are numerous historic buildings and old alleyways dating back to the 13th century.

All the attractions of the local area area within easy reach of Callow Top camping and caravan park. From the natural beauty of Dovedale to the thrill and excitement of Alton Towers, there's something to suit everyone.

The picturesque historic towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock are nearby as is Tissington village, famous for the local custom of Well Dressing.

There are numerous scenic walks that lead from Callow Top and follow the river Dove running right into the heart of Dovedale where you can cross the river upon large stepping stones.
