Geoff and Janet moved to Bassett Wood Farm in January 1995. It is 160 acre Diary Farm with 100 dairy cattle with 100 sheep and lambs, on the private Tissington Estate with historic Jacobean Manor House of the FitzHerbert family. Situated near to the Tissington cycle and walking trail on the edge of beautiful Dovedale, just north of Ashbourne.
Bed and Breakfast
Room 1 - Large room with a view, 4 poster bed, en-suite shower.
Room 2 - Family room ( double and bunk beds ) overlooking Pets Paddock. WHB.
Room 3 - Twin room, en suite bathroom.
Full english breakfast with vegetarian option. Packed lunches available on request.
Tea room at front of house with patio area overlooking cow fields, open daily, morning coffee and afternoon teas.
A wonderful opportunity for young children to communicate with all these animals. Pets Paddock has hens, canaries, quail, rabbit, guinea pig, goat, Shetland pony, new born calves and lambs. Piglets in pigsty.
Tissington Trekking Centre next door.
We are a caravan club certified location set on lush pastureland with beautiful views. Facilities include water, waste disposal.
